This book is so fun! It is about a family that travels through the old west putting on magic shows and, occasionally, catching bad guys. Any kid between 8 and 12 will LOVE this book. Especially if they like old western stuff.

Title: Flora and Ulysses

Author: Kate DiCamillo

Rating: 8

Age Recommendation: 10+

This book is so funny. It is about a superhero squirrel and his cynic friend. I gave it that rating because for most of the book her parents are divorced and her mother smokes. It does have a happy ending though, but I won’t spoil it. (Notice I said MOST of the book).
